Emergency Response Gear
Preparation and access to the proper gear are critical to any emergency response. Over the past 30 years we have refined our trailer response packages to include the essential tools and equipment for large scale shoreline cleanup operations to small marina responses.
Equipment is pre-staged at our offices to expedite our response time and minimize delays to our customers in arriving on-site. Global personnel pride themselves in ensuring that all equipment is maintained and operable when it arrives on-site. The professionalism of the crew extends to the on-site operations as they will assess the situation to maintain a safe environment during stressful circumstances.
The boom trailer is a flat bed trailer that is stocked with 2000’ of 20” oil containment boom. A 14’ skiff and anchor systems are stored on top of the trailer for rapid deployment.
The primary tool in response to sunken vessels and oil spills is our Response Trailer. This trailer is outfitted with a 14’ skiff, 200’ of containment boom, 25 bales of sorbent materials, a skimmer, a dewatering pump, a defueling pump, a damage control kit, PPE, and other miscellaneous tools of the trade.
We have immediate access to hundreds of bales of sorbent materials including pads, sweep, sorbent boom, snare, and other miscellaneous absorbents. Global also has an RBS-5 skimmer, 3 Skim Paks, 4 electric disc skimmers, 4 rope/mop skimmers, and a foxtail skimmer.
Our inventory of pumps includes peristaltic pumps for underwater defueling, 2”, 3”, and 4” trash pumps for dewatering, and Moyno pumps for heavy products. We are also the custodian/operator of a TK-6 and CCN-150 pumping system owned by Marine Pollution Control out of Detriot. Our inventory of tanks includes 250 gallon stainless tote tanks, 250 gallon poly tanks, and miscellaneous drums and overpacks.
We own two Shoreline Trailers which are used for cleaning up oil spills that impact the shoreline. Each trailer is stocked with 500 bales of oil snare, miscellaneous hand tools, and enough personal protective equipment to sustain a 50 person crew for up to a week. One trailer is staged at our main office in Seattle, while the other is staged at a client’s facility in Anacortes.
