One year ago, COVID decided to take the trophy, but Monday, September 13th we got back on the links of The Plateau Club, stronger than ever, for Global’s 14th annual golf tournament. The day was full of friendly competition and catching up with our vendors, associates, and coworkers, but most importantly giving to a great cause.

Thanks to all of our players and sponsors, we were able to bring our total amount donated to Seattle Children’s to over $500,000. These donations go directly toward helping this institution continue to provide exceptional care to children and their families. Melissa Cardenas, Development Manager for Seattle Children’s Hospital Foundation & Guild Association said they are thankful for the donations and the work that Global puts into hosting the golf tournament each year. “Global has been awesome to partner with over the years,” she said. “Thank you for continuing to raise funds for Seattle Children’s and Strong Against Cancer!”

Devon Grennan, Global President, said it’s the fellowship, not the golf, that brings everyone to the event each year. “It’s a wonderful way to bring people together for a common cause, and have a lot of fun while doing it,” Grennan noted. “Seattle Children’s has a special place in the hearts of our employees, and we’re proud to support them in all they do.”

Congratulations to the tournament winners – First place went to the team from Western Tug and Barge! Global would also like to give a special thank you to the Children’s Hospital Guild volunteers, along with all the sponsors, players, Global’s volunteers and the staff from The Plateau Club. You helped ensure the event was another success, and we’re already looking forward to 2022!
