A Deeper Look at Global’s Commitment to Reliability & Dependability

February 27, 2017

Here at Global we approach every job with the respect, attention, and focus it deserves – no matter how difficult or routine it may be. Underlying that dedication to getting the job done efficiently and effectively are two key guiding principles: reliability and dependability.

“Repeat customers call us because they know what they’re going to get: quality work,” said Aaron Harrington, General Manager at Global. “My mantra is that this is a marathon, not a sprint. That means that we want to be steady and reliable in everything we do. We want customers to call us over and over, so dependability is something that we focus on a lot here.”

Harrington’s own trajectory at Global is a testament to the company’s overall commitment to its people, which in turn reinforces its focus on doing reliable work.  He started working at Global right out of college and continued to move up in the company through the years. As general manger, he now provides oversight for commercial diving and environmental services and maintains the profitability of all services out of the Northwest region.

It’s the people who come to work everyday that live our commitment to getting the job done right. Without them, none of this would be possible.

“The guys we have working – they’re dependable, they’re always compliant with the safety procedures, they understand what the clients needs are and they meet those needs,” Harrington said. “Everything in a project is contingent on how effective that diver is below. Our overall reliability and dependability is directly related to our people.”

Often times when people call us, it’s not under ideal circumstances; they might be facing some kind of regulatory issue, undergoing emergency work or in need of handling an oil spill. Bringing the highest level of reliability to jobs like that is vital. And again – it’s the expertise of our people that make those critical jobs a success.

“For all the years that I’ve been with the company, the thing that hasn’t changed is that we invest in our people above all else and that’s what separates us from the competition,” Harrington said. “When you’re always gaining new skills, you continue to grow. And that means Global continues to be the best there is.”

  1. Aaron is a reliable and dependable as they come, and sets a great example for our company to follow. We are fortunate to have crews and support personnel who understand that work comes when it comes, and hard work needs to get done on demand.
