PROJECT DETAIL
Global was called in to assist in the restoration of the structural integrity of a Washington marina’s deteriorating pilings.
After the initial inspection, Global discovered that the pilings were more deteriorated than expected. Due to this, the first phase of the project was classed as an emergency repair.
Because of this, Global was given a very short window to complete the first phase of the project. The team adapted their project plan to fit the new situation at hand. This involved logistical challenges such as sourcing extra material and adapting their repair strategy.
The pilings that were in need of emergency repair were restored and anodes were welded to some steel pilings as well. Once completed, Global began the second phase of the project which involved the installation of more sacrificial anodes.
