‘Tis the Season of Giving
November 21, 2017
The holidays are upon us. It’s a time when we gather with friends and family, give gifts, give thanks, and give a little bit of ourselves.
Thanks to our many sponsors and players this year, Global’s 11th annual golf tournament raised $30,000 for Seattle Children’s Hospital. Over the past eleven years, we’ve donated more than $350,000 to the hospital. These funds go to amazing kids and families who need help, incredible doctors who give their time and resources, and an exceptional institution that makes it all happen.
“Seattle Children’s has a special place in the hearts of our employees, and we’re proud to support them in all they do,” said Devon Grennan, Global’s President and CEO.
Global has a long history of community involvement in all of our regions, and our current management and staff are no exception. We look to promote a bright future, participating in educational programs like the Youth Maritime Training Association. We look to preserve our past with groups like the Puget Sound Maritime Historical Society. Our employees are members of numerous trade organizations, volunteering their time, efforts and expertise. Many volunteer their time to local charities of all kinds, from animal shelters to keeping our oceans clean.
At Global, we give a lot of ourselves in the work we do – it’s a non-stop, 365-day a year workplace – and yet we still find time to give ourselves to family, friends and neighbors. The people we hire at Global are people who want to make a difference; it’s who we are and what we do.
From all of us at Global, we wish you and yours a very happy holiday season!

Sorry I cannot attend all your tournaments, but I know and appreciate how important the Global D&S annual charity golf tournament is to Children’s Hospital and the community. Global has always been very generous and community oriented- kudos to everyone at Global!
Hopefully I can attend a future golf tournament and join everyone in contributing to the Children’s Hospital funding. Keep up the great work!
